Who we are.
AB-Con are a North Dublin based construction company focusing on residential construction work. The company is run by Adam and Tom, both coming from a carpentry and construction Degree background with many years’ building experience making us a well- rounded team. We employ various trades directly but are largely made up of experienced carpenters. We specialise in bathroom remodels, renovations, extensions, and attic conversions. We pride ourselves on attention to detail by providing a top-class finish. We have built a reputation from leaving a great finish and now get much of our work from previous client referrals. We aim to be time efficient, clean working and exceed our client expectations.

Bathrooms
Here at AB- Con we strive in our efforts to create high quality and aesthetically pleasing bathroom remodels/installs. Throughout our projects we have encountered many pre-existing issues ranging from unpleasing layouts to water egression problems which may result in the collapse of a bathroom floor, we always have a solution! In addition, and for peace of mind, our fully qualified team only use reputable suppliers. All of our work from plumbing to waterproofing to tiling to panelling is carried out to the upmost standard. Extensions
Why extend? In general people are content with where they live and the topic of moving is only brought up when space becomes an issue as a family grows. This is where we come in, we will not only build your dream extension, we will advise you on how best to utilise the space. Why move when we can help grow your home to suit your growing family. We pride ourselves on a brilliant finish when extending a home but our passion is to create a space that benefits the entire family. It’s no secret that we all need to be more energy conscious and in our builds this is high priority. Having completed the BER(Building Energy Rating) course we are no strangers to what is required to achieve an energy efficient build. The basics for an energy efficient home is a high thermal resistant shell, airtight and led lighting. A source of renewable energy is always a plus..
Attic Conversions
The attic space can be a hidden gem, it already exists so why not utilise the space. Almost all attic spaces can be converted into a “room” weather you have a truss roof or cut roof. To convert you attic it does not require planning permision if you add a storge room, which is what most attic converisons are classed as. Attic converios that require planning permision are as follows: A habitable space, a dormer to be added to the roof, a hip to gable conversion, windows on the front elevation of the roof. All of these require an assigned certifier. In order to class an attic converison as a habitable room you must comply with floor to ceiling heights set out in the building regulations among many other regulations. To convert an attic space to a habitable room as appsed to a non habitable room is a little more work due to the criteria that must be met.
